Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Brady Klopfer, and I was born and raised in a log cabin on the north coast of California. I was homeschooled in a town of 500, before heading to Walla Walla, Washington, to attend Whitman College, where I studied a combination of english, philosophy, creative writing, and environmental studies, in one conglomeration of a major called “Environmental Humanities.” Shortly after graduation I moved to Los Angeles so that I could pursue a lifelong dream of being a film actor.
How did you get into writing?
I come from a family that loves to read, write, and have discussions, so it was something I’ve always done. My lifelong best friend’s mother is a very successful and acclaimed author, and she taught us creative writing courses growing up. Then, in college, my interest blossomed into a passion.
What do you love about writing?
What I love most about writing is that, once you become fully immersed in it, you are always doing it. I find that I am constantly crafting words together, and finding new ways to express things. I do this in the shower, in the car, even in my sleep sometimes. When I’m at my computer or notebook, I’m just translating a lot of thoughts I’ve already had. It changes the way you think.
What made you decide to choose Content Runner?
When I first moved to Los Angeles, I was working in a restaurant. The hours were horrendous, and the work was soul-sucking. I was determined to find a way to support myself by both working at home, and doing something I loved. Content Runner offered me the ability to both.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Probably to the Galapagos, or to Corsica. Though Venezuela, Ecuador, and Croatia are also high up there.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Flying. Because it would be so much fun.
If you weren’t a professional writer, what would you be?
Well, the two things I put lots of time and effort into, besides writing, are acting, and day trading the stock market. So one of those two ideally, but if I couldn’t make a career out of either, I would probably open up a bread bakery.
What is your biggest grammatical pet peeve?
When ppl write 2 u like this. Also when commas are omitted. Who wants to read a long sentence with no commas?\
What is your favorite subject to write about?
I love writing about food, environmentally conscious products and lifestyle choices, and home improvement projects.
When you aren’t writing content for Content Runner, what do you do in your spare time?
I put a fair amount of time into day trading and acting, but then I spend my down time cooking, reading, and watching sports.
