Tell us about yourself.
I graduated in 2010 with a degree in Political Science. After that, I moved across the country and began working for a political organization. After 2 years, I decided to move to the Republic of Georgia where I taught English and managed a government-sponsored blog for one year. I moved back to the states, worked during the legislative session for Utah Education Association, and then decided to take up writing as a more permanent vocation. It was a wonderful decision, as writing has as allowed me to pursue all the other things I love while working from anywhere in the world.

What made you decide to choose Content Runner?
I stumbled upon Content Runner through the suggestion of a friend, and I haven’t looked back since!

What do you love about writing?
I love that writing comes easily to me, and that I’m much more skilled at expressing my thoughts via paper and pen than I am through speaking. Through writing, I can give and receive information about an infinite number of topics, an I think that’s pretty awesome.

When you aren’t writing content for Content Runner, what do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I love to travel, exercise, explore nature, play Quiddler, eat, and spend time with my sweetheart.

How did you get into writing?
I’ve been writing since I can remember—I had a Jasmine journal at the age of four, and I haven’t been able to stop writing since then.

If you could go anywhere, where would you go?
I actually just arrived in Tirana, Albania three days ago! While the US is my home base, I absolutely love traveling. Before I come home, I think I’ll definitely check out Bosnia, Montenegro, and Macedonia.

If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
A hamburger. With mustard, guacamole, fried onions, pepper jack cheese, and a fried egg….

If you weren’t a professional writer, what would you be?
Good question. If I weren’t a writer…I’d hope to work in international development and peacekeeping operations, or teach for underprivileged students.

What is your biggest grammatical pet peeve?
I dislike the incorrect use of pronouns.

What is your favorite subject to write about?
I love writing posts about legal matters, science, politics, or self-help articles, particularly mental health or weight loss.
